Praise for Slow Pulp: “'Moveys' is the sound of a band overcoming setbacks, traumas, and even a haunted recording session, and emerging with a record of healing and beauty” - NME “There’s strength to be derived from Emily Massey’s cool moan as it pierces the warm acoustics, a magnetic resilience that comes through with each word.” - Pitchfork “On the shimmery Falling Apart, Emily Massey’s woozy vocals mesh so sweetly with the downbeat sonic mood” - The Guardian “Flowing effortlessly between melodious vocals and blistering guitars, between reflecting on past feelings and accepting new eventualities, the majority of the album feels weightless – in a sense that the tracks all fall into their natural place” - The Line Of Best Fit (4 Stars) "The atmosphere around her — lush acoustic guitar, lightly brushed percussion and the lulling violin...provides a soft place to land [on ‘Falling Apart’]." - The New York Times “dreamy, subtly forceful rock songs with great clarity and chemistry.” - NPR “...tender and slyly powerful indie rock perfect when you're caught in your feelings.” - The FADER “Slow Pulp’s Big Day is about formative experiences that transcend the calendar. It’s waking up not knowing what new experience will be enjoyed or what mistake will be made. It’s feeling something for the first time.” - Stereogum (Band To Watch) "Jabs of crunchy guitar, sweeping psychedelia, or melodies that you don't see coming."Pigeons & Planes

Chicago-based band Slow Pulp - Emily Massey (vocals/guitar), Alexander Leeds (bass), Theodore Mathews (drums), and Henry Stoehr (guitar) - released their remarkable debut album Moveys in the Autumn of last year to critical acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, NPR, NYLON, The Guardian, Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit and more.

Recently they announced their new 7” entitled Deleted Scenes, which features two reimagined tracks from Moveys. Today they share the B-Side single ‘Iowa’, a hazy, fever-dream take on the album standout ‘Idaho’.

Listen to ‘Iowa’ HERE.

It follows the A-Side of the 7”, ‘At It Again (Again)’, which reinterprets the grunged-up album track as a soft and gentle acoustic version with Emily Massey’s vocals floating light as a feather over strumming acoustic strings and staccato guitar rhythms. Listen HERE.

Deleted Scenes 7” is out today digitally, and will be available physically on 12th November via Winspear.
