Sound of a City: LEEDS

Showcasing new music from around the UK, here we bring you LEEDS!

Leeds may be the 7th largest city in the UK but it is the home to larger names such as Soft Cell, The Sisters of Mercy and the Kaiser Chiefs.

However, the spotlight will be shifted to grassroots and rising bands and artists.

In this large city, there is music and genres for everyone, starting with soul and funk fusion bands alike Necktr, the ever genre-bending and infusing Indigo House and playful indie-pop and rock vibes of The Hyde and The Palava.

Then we move into dancing electric beats with In The Morning Lights and explore airy emotive melodies with The Luxury Goods (formerly named Lio). Then we strut to the gritty riffs of Loz Campbell.

We don’t forget our energetic, raw and aggressive punks over in Distort and Electric Press, along with Pleasure Centre that infuses synth and heavy amalgamation of effects.

And we never by-pass humble and friendly indie folk artists over at Silverlode and Hayley Gaftarnick.

Enjoy more artists in our curated list made from the heart of Leeds!
