Alchemize Release ‘Do You Feel Alive?’ on Year of the Rat Records

Alchemize is a 5 piece R&B/metal fusion band from Manchester with 3 vocalists. The band have already landed official Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music, Pandora and TIDAL playlisting, coverage with BBC Radio 1 (including Track Of The Week), Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Dreambound, RTE2XM, Amazing Radio, Idobi Howl, Total Rock Radio and played multiple sold out headline shows as well as sharing stages with Polar, Chaosbay, Call Me Amour, Defences, Paradise Fell and Black Coast. The band will release new single ‘Do You Feel Alive?’ on the 21st November 2025 on Year Of The Rat Records (RinRin, Esoterica, Lastelle, SAVE US etc) - With plenty of new music to come the band will quickly establish themselves in the UK metal circuit.

Adam Kenyon - “This track came from a really personal place. Lyrically, it’s about watching someone you care about slowly turn into someone you no longer recognise, that Jekyll-to-Hyde feeling when a close friend or partner drifts away, and you’re left questioning everything. There’s frustration, hurt, and that bittersweet acceptance that some relationships just can’t be saved. Musically though, we wanted to do the complete opposite, keep it light, fun, and bouncy. We took inspiration from our earlier releases and tried to capture that raw, playful energy we had when we first started writing together. It was about reminding ourselves that music can still be exciting and cathartic, even when the subject matter is heavy. The result is a track that feels like a release, you know, dancing through the frustration, shouting out the anger, but ultimately letting go. It’s our way of saying, "You can take something painful and turn it into something that feels good to sing, shout, and move to.”
