Cut Short Release New Single ‘The Worst of Myself’

Liverpool, UK – CUT SHORT, the metal band that has recently shared stages with the likes of Wargasm UK, Dream State, and Heart Of A Coward, continues to push the boundaries of the genre, albeit with a jaded lens. With recent support from influential platforms such as BBC Radio 1, Metal Hammer, Kerrang, Rock Sound, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, and Deezer, CUT SHORT’s presence in the metal scene is undeniable. Hailing from the decaying grandeur of Liverpool, CUT SHORT’s music is a raw and unflinching portrayal of mental health struggles, layered with visuals that reflect the city’s decline. Their aesthetic juxtaposes the remnants of historical elegance against the stark realities of urban decay—homelessness, addiction, and unemployment—creating a soundscape that is as bleak as the world around us. In a landscape rife with superficiality, CUT SHORT’s unique selling point lies in their versatility, intertwining various genres and styles to mirror the chaos of existence.Their sonic offerings draw from hardcore, metalcore, and progressive metal, ensuring that even in the depths of despair, there is a semblance of connection for a diverse audience.

CUT SHORT: Where the weight of reality meets the catharsis of music. The band will now release the first single from their new cycle ‘The Worst Of Myself’ on the 21st November 2025.

Matthew Kean - “The Worst of Myself delves into the topic of mental health and how the relationships we have with ourselves and others can seem to help us grow, when in reality, they may be holding us back. How accurately can you assess your own personal development?”
