Atlanta, GA — Atlanta indie/alt-pop-rock outfit abandcalledlove. will release their debut EP, Thriving Season, this Friday, September 26 via their own imprint, Valiant Sound Co. The six-track collection captures the band’s sharp blend of soaring melodies, cinematic textures, and propulsive rhythms—marking a new chapter for one of the city’s fastest-rising live acts.

Produced and engineered by Corey Bautista (The Callous Daoboys, Celebrity Therapist), Thriving Season pushes the band’s sound into widescreen territory. Anthemic hooks, layered atmospheres, and emotionally raw lyrics flow throughout the EP, pairing immediacy with depth. Lyrical themes reflect resilience, addiction and recovery, toxic relationships, and self-discovery, with frontman Ryan Chandler Love bringing deeply personal experiences into focus.

Thriving Season is exactly what its title suggests,” Love explains. “It represents growth, struggle, and finally learning how to embrace yourself and your surroundings. Every song carries a piece of that journey, and I think listeners will connect with the vulnerability as much as the energy.”

Formed in early 2020 by Ryan Chandler Love (vocals/guitar/keyboards) and Ian Joshua Riley (guitar/producer), abandcalledlove. quickly expanded into a full lineup with Blake Aldridge (guitar), Brooks Roberts (bass), and Austin Yagle (drums). Since making their live debut in 2021 with a sold-out show at The Masquerade, the band have shared stages throughout the Southeast, sold out half of their sixteen live shows to date, and built a reputation for blending arena-sized ambition with DIY heart.

Beyond the band, Love and Riley are part of the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs Class of 2025 and active songwriters/producers with credits on multiple Billboard-charting releases. Riley also tours with chamber-pop collective Adjy (Triple Crown Records/Round Hill Music). This summer, abandcalledlove. gained extra buzz by guest-featuring on Woe, Is Me’s comeback single “Seminola Blvd.”

Fans can celebrate the arrival of Thriving Season at Center Stage, Atlanta on September 25, where the band will support viral breakout Cuffing Season, the night before the EP officially drops.
