" Sleepwalk make an urgent mix of shoegaze and post-hardcore...it’s evocative and gripping and electrifying..."- Stereogum

"...permeating the outer reaches of shoegaze and dream pop coated with raw grungey riffs and post-punk suggestions, veering from melancholy to raw, dreamy to sinister, hazy to stark."- White Light/White Heat

Chicago, IL – September 25, 2025 – Chicago’s Sleepwalk have unveiled the remastered single “Flesh,” taken from their breakout LP Splatter—now available on vinyl for the first time. The release (along with b-side, an acoustic version of "Hit The Ground") arrives just as the band gears up for a fall tour supporting The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die and ASkySoBlack, further solidifying their place in the rising nugaze scene.

Recorded by Matt Holmes at The Echo Mill and mixed/mastered by Adam Stilson at Decade Music Studios, the remastered Splatter breathes new life into the record’s heaviest moments. Lead track “Flesh” highlights Sleepwalk’s signature blend of post-hardcore urgency and shoegaze textures, a duality the band calls “heavy music for the light hearted.”

"‘Flesh’ has always represented the punk edge of the record,” explains the band. “It’s aggressive but still drenched in atmosphere—exactly the tension that defines Sleepwalk.”

With Splatter, Sleepwalk channel influences ranging from Smashing Pumpkins and HUM to Nothing and Title Fight, offering a sound that resonates across alternative, shoegaze, and emo audiences. Tracks like “Craving” lean into grit and distortion, while “Bumblebee” and “Crumble” showcase the band’s softer, dream-laden side.

Sleepwalk have shared stages with Glassjaw, Thursday, and Hotline TNT, and previously toured North America with Japan’s Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, hitting major rooms like Chicago’s Vic Theater, Toronto’s Phoenix Theater, and Brooklyn Steel.
