Bella Union at The Great Escape in Brighton! 2 x label showcases on Thursday 15th + Saturday 17th May
As ever Bella Union will have a presence at The Great Escape in Brighton. As well as free live music at the Bella Union Vinyl Shop at 25 Church St, running Wednesday through Friday from 12-5pm, this year we’ll be hosting two label showcases, one at The Folklore Rooms on Thursday 15th May followed by the Official event at The Arch on Saturday 17th May.
The Official label showcase at The Arch on Saturday 17th May will feature a headline set from Divide & Dissolve who’s debut album Insatiable has just been released to much critical acclaim. Their performance will be preceded by up’n’coming talents congratulations, CUBZOA and Kamran Kaur, all of whom are working on new material.
Ahead of this on Thursday 15th May Bella Union will host an Alternative Great Escape evening of music at the Folklore Rooms. Starting at 7pm the evening will host the first-ever gigs by Ceann Capaill, a new project from Declan Haughian, Lily Wolter of local heroes Penelope Isles debuting her exciting new band My Precious Bunny while her brother Jack performs a set as Bazuco. The beautiful scorching but soulful fuzz of Nicole Fermie's Lux Jury, the aching songsmith-ery of Michael Clark’s Lichen, plus to kick things off we are lucky enough to have Child Of Prague over from Dublin to complete a night of wondrous new music!
