New single by Nadia Sheikh - out now!
May 8th, 2025. Nadia Sheikh follows the BBC 6 Music and Radio X supported “stomper of a track” ‘How To Lose A Friend’ with new single ‘Memories’. A deeply emotive pop/rock track that builds from intimate verses to an anthemic outro, ‘Memories’ captures the ache of lost love and the sorrow of holding onto its best moments. Written by Nadia, and co-produced with her band Rowan Davies and George Gardiner, the song was premiered by Chris Hawkins on BBC 6Music.
“‘Memories’ is one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written. It might sound cliché but it was one of those where I felt that tingling feeling as I was writing it, I knew it was going to hold a special place” said Nadia who has been championed by BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X and received support from The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Fresh On The Net and more.
A half-British, half-Spanish artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, who writes and records in both English and Spanish, Nadia crafts songs that cut deep with raw emotion, equal parts grit and grace. With anthemic, guitar-driven songs and unforgettable choruses, fuelled by pop sensibility, her music walks the line between vulnerability and power, creating a world where heartbreak, mental health, and women's battles for visibility take centre stage.
One of the most exciting rising stars on the international live and festival circuits, Nadia will be performing at Grand Central Hotel, Brighton on 15th May at part of The Great Escape and on 29th June at Plaza Kuivi Almacenes, Oviedo in Spain. Previous live highlights have included supporting PJ Harvey at Noches del Botánico in Madrid and a 19 date EU tour with Stereophonics, festival spots including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Kendal Calling and FIB (Benicàssim) and headline tours in both the UK and Spain.
