Cabin Boy Jumped Ship return with fiery new single Chemicals - video out now!

UK electronicore heavyweights, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship, are back, and they're louder than ever. After three years of silence, the band erupts with a brand-new single that hits harder than a mosh pit in full swing.

Chemicals blends the intensity of metalcore with the pulse of EDM, bringing together crushing riffs, enormous vocals and a bridge that will be stuck in your head for days. Maintaining that distinctive Cabin Boy Jumped Ship sound while nodding to modern metal artists like Bad Omens and Spiritbox, the single marks a powerful comeback and a bold new chapter for the band.

Ready to enter a new era and armed with high-octane live shows, genre-fluid songwriting, and a fiercely loyal fanbase, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship are about to make their biggest impact yet.

On new single Chemicals, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship, have this to say:

“Chemicals is our first release since Sentiments (2022), exploring the natural chemistry in our brains that drives our emotions and connections. It’s about the rush, the comedown, and how overwhelming it can be when your own mind is the thing pulling the strings. Energetic and introspective, it reflects the intensity of feeling everything all at once.”

The UK’s wildest export in the electronicore scene, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship blend heavy riffs, brutal breakdowns, and infectious EDM hooks into a genre-defying assault on the senses. Born in the heart of Leicestershire in late 2013, the band quickly ditched the small-town life and hit the road hard. With their relentless touring ethic, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship have played across Europe, Russia, the Philippines, rarely staying still for long.

Over the years, they’ve earned a reputation for bringing the party to stages around the world, sharing bills with the likes of Electric Callboy, We Came As Romans, The Devil Wears Prada, and more. Enormous crowds have also witnessed their chaos at Download Festival, Impericon Fest, and Paradise Fest in Thailand, proving Cabin Boy Jumped Ship can tear it up on any continent.

With two EPs and two full-length albums under their belt - “The Heartless” (2019, Bleeding Nose Records) and “Sentiments” (2022, AFM Records) - and with metal heavyweights like James Harrison (Oceans Ate Alaska) and Richard Sjunnesson (The Unguided) lending their vocal talents to tracks, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship further cemented their position in the international heavy scene as ones to pay attention to.

Fast forward to 2025, with time and attention turned to writing and producing new music. Chemicals was co-written, mixed and mastered by producer Ben Gaines.

Now, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship return refreshed, recharged, and ready to take it to the next level.
