Catherine Elms Uncovers Her Shadow Self on Bold New Album

Welsh alternative songstress Catherine Elms dives deep into the beautiful chaos of the human soul on her striking new album ‘Bring in the Wild’, a cinematic journey through the darker parts of ourselves that we're taught to hide.

Inspired by Jungian psychology, this twelve-track sonic exploration touches on anger, desire, jealousy, and self-pity as teachers to be embraced, rather than demons to be feared.

"Bring in the Wild is about making peace with the parts of myself I used to suppress and learning to hear what they have to teach me. It’s about the wild power that comes from self-acceptance," Catherine states.

With her signature blend of Kate Bush theatrics, Nick Cave grit, and Fiona Apple intensity, ‘Bring in the Wild’ is lush, confessional, and raw.

Lead singles ‘Medusa’ and ‘Brutal Heart’ provided an early glimpse into Catherine’s dark, dreamlike world of shadow, and now ‘Bring in the Wild’ continues her story of awakening and metamorphosis.

Praised as "brilliant" by BBC Radio Wales and hailed as “a must-watch artist in the alternative rock scene of the UK and beyond” by Plastic Magazine, Elms continues to forge her path through these darkly tinged songs of raw honesty.

‘Bring In the Wild’ will be released on streaming platforms worldwide on 8th August 2025. A 16-track extended special edition is available on CD and for download via Bandcamp.
