Following the buzz of their self-titled debut album, DAMNAGE are back — louder, rawer, and wilder than ever — with a blistering new single: a cover of the punk rock anthem “Wild In The Streets.” And this one’s got history.
Featuring Greg Hetson of Circle Jerks fame, this version rips through tradition while honouring its roots. Recorded live in a few short hours at Hetson’s LA studio, Hetson Sounds, the track captures the unfiltered energy that DAMNAGE bring to every stage they play — from Coachella to the clubs.
“We didn’t want to overthink it. We just plugged in and let it rip,” the band shares. “We've played ‘Wild in the Streets’ at just about every stage we've played, and we wanted to reimagine this classic record as well as honour the iconic version that we all love.”
The collaboration sparked after Hetson jammed with DAMNAGE during their show at the iconic Viper Room — a moment that evolved into a full-blown studio session and lifelong memory. “It was surreal,” the band adds. “No edits. No tricks. Just us and Greg, face to face with a punk legacy.”
Why this song? ‘Wild In The Streets’ has been DAMNAGE’s closer for years — a favourite of guitarist/vocalist Tim Stewart, who first brought the track to the band after watching the 1986 cult film Thrashin’. “It was always an ode to the past,” they say, “but the universe brought it full circle.”
ABOUT DAMNAGE
Born on the road during tours with Lady Gaga, DAMNAGE is the sonic fusion of three genre-pushing musicians:
Tim Stewart (Guitar/Vocals): A Bay Area punk kid with deep roots in darkwave and a résumé that includes Rihanna, Suicidal Tendencies, and more.
Jonny Drummond (Bass/Vocals): A former Georgia cop turned full-time bass powerhouse, known for his work with The Weeknd, Young Thug, and Wiz Khalifa.
Tosh Peterson (Drums): A prodigy with a punk lineage and credits ranging from Machine Gun Kelly to Fall Out Boy and Bad Bunny.
With over a decade of friendship, world tours, and shared stages — from the Grammys to the Super Bowl — the trio formed DAMNAGE as an outlet for everything they couldn’t say on pop stages.
DAMNAGE isn’t just a band. It’s a brotherhood. A blast of defiance. A celebration of chaos, authenticity, and punk spirit.
