Hannah Cohen announces "Flying Cloud Tapes" and releases live video for "Mountain" ahead of North American Tour

Earlier this year, Catskills-based singer/songwriter Hannah Cohen released her critically acclaimed album Earthstar Mountain via Bella Union / Congrats Records, an album Rolling Stone called “one of the best indie releases of the year.” Today, she is excited to announce Flying Cloud Tapes, a collection of live performances filmed at her home in the Catskills / Flying Cloud Studios, where she recorded Earthstar Mountain. The stunning first video for “Mountain” is available to watch today HERE. It features musicians Sam Evian (Guitar), Meg Lui (Harmony Vocal), Núria Graham (Bass), Santiago Mijares (Acoustic Guitar) and Sean Mullins (Drums). It was produced, engineered and mixed by Sam Evian.

Flying Cloud Recordings is an analogue recording studio in the Catskill Mountains of New York, owned and operated by producer/engineer Sam Evian and Hannah Cohen. A retreat-style studio beloved by artists such as Big Thief, Clairo, Sufjan Stevens, Blonde Redhead, Cass McCombs, Palehound, Kate Bollinger, and many more, Flying Cloud captures the spirit of its surroundings—peaceful, grounded, and deeply creative. Located in a renovated barn nestled in a mountain hollow—surrounded by streams, swimming holes, meadows, and forest—the studio invites a slower pace. Sessions at Flying Cloud revolve around homemade meals, hikes through the woods, and quiet reflection by the water—an environment where artists often find the space and focus to create their best work.

“Mountain” will also be featured in the film REGRETTING YOU, and Cohen will be performing at the REGRETTING YOU: A Night of No Regrets Opening Night Fan Event alongside Sam Evian. This event, hosted live from AMC Lincoln Square in New York City, will be streamed nationally to over 500 theatres.

Most recently, Cohen shared the Matthew Placek directed video for her single “Summer Sweat,” which Paste Magazine described as “one of Cohen’s best pursuits yet, a combination of sincerity and sexuality, a singalong about letting go while being held. And that voice of hers, cushiony and well-sustained always, is pure pageantry decorated with ageless style.” The song went on to be named one of Spotify’s Songs of Summer and currently has 12,672,345 streams on the platform.
