Indie Singer-Songwriter Tess Becket Makes Tour Debut

Tess Becket is making her tour debut with First Things First: The East Coast Tour. Becket will be on tour during the month of June and information about each stop can be found on Becket’s website (tessbecket.com/tour).

With 11 stops across five states, First Things First: The East Coast Tour is an ambitious project that Becket has been working on since January. She will be joined on tour by Harrisburg area sing-songwriter Jessie Lynn and each stop will feature performances by local artists. To kick off the tour, Becket will release her latest single, “Los Angeles,” which will be available to the general public on all streaming platforms on June 1st, 2025.

Inspired by the likes of Slow Pulp and Momma, “Los Angeles” is a breezy, introspective indie rock track about letting go and moving on. The song blends melodic vocals with guitar-driven textures and opens with a striking couplet: “What if I told you that I saw the Pacific Ocean / When you and I were just a fog of this summer’s dying breath.” An evolution from Becket’s earlier work, the track captures the bittersweet freedom of traveling alone after a long-term relationship ends. Layered with emotive live drums and airy, atmospheric synths, “Los Angeles” feels like a deep exhale—leaving behind the weight of heartbreak and heading west toward something softer.

Becket released “Toxic,” in early 2023 and “Drink,” in mid 2024, to acclaim from a variety of publications. “The rising artist [Becket] delivers a charismatic performance that fans of Billie Eilish would be able to connect with, although it is clear that Tess Becket, who is inspired by artists including King Princess and Julien Baker, is creating a universe of her own,” raved KIMU in the site’s review.

Becket is an indie rock singer-songwriter, producer and audiovisual engineer based in York, Pennsylvania whose songwriting explores chronic illness, sobriety and lesbian relationships. Currently, she tours internationally as a videographer and works as a front-of-house engineer at local music venues. Her experience working in the music and live event industry brings a unique amount of technical knowledge to her productions.
