Light & Rain: New single this Friday July 4th

Following his debut album Avalanche Dream, Light and Rain, the project of Wiesbaden-based singer-songwriter Jan-Eric Schlachter, is back with a new single : “White Light” will be released on July 4, 2025, and tells the story of the search for artistic clarity amid creative silence.

What began as a song about writer's block became a piece about the liberating power of music. “White Light” is about how difficult it can be to find something real—and how sometimes it only appears when you stop trying to force it.

Between melancholic indie folk and atmospheric songwriting, Light and Rain once again opens up to deep themes: self-doubt, creative crises – and the quiet moments when new paths reveal themselves.

ROCKMAGAZINE.net:
“Classic yet somehow timeless, Light and Rain blends past and present into a homogeneous sound.”

KULTURNEWS.de:
“Light and Rain combines powerful folk with melancholic indie rock.”

FRONTSTAGE-MAGAZIN.de:
“The music of Light and Rain is like a big musical patchwork quilt – some elements are familiar, others are new, some are surprising, and in the end, everything comes together and it's like a deep, honest embrace.”
