Lobsterbomb release new single ‘Nightbird’ - out now

Berlin−based post−punk outfit Lobsterbomb return with their brooding new single Nightbird, released 17th July 2025 on Ladies&Ladys Records.

Channelling the darker edges of their sound, Nightbird draws inspiration from post-punk icons like Siouxsie and the Banshees, with driving drums, chorus-soaked guitars and haunting melodies that give the track its energetic yet shadowy edge. A song born of insomnia and the creative solitude of late nights, Nightbird captures the buzzing thoughts and emotional restlessness that emerge when the rest of the world is asleep.

“Nightbird is a song for insomniacs and people who find their creative energy after the sun goes down. A song for when the world around you is dark and quiet but your mind is racing with ideas,” says guitarist Crayon Jones.

The track was recorded in the Berlin studio of Thomas Götz (drummer of German punk legends Beatsteaks) and engineered and mixed by Karen Dhios at Transporterraum.

Nightbird is Lobsterbomb’s nocturnal anthem — a call to the sleepless, the restless, and the creatively haunted.
