Matt Maeson Releases 'Everlasting'
Matt Maeson shares his new song 'Everlasting' [Atlantic Records], his first release since his 2024 live record, That’s My Cue: A Solo Experience and his sold-out solo tour of the same name. The song chronicles the recent changes in Maeson’s life, including getting married, moving from Austin to Nashville, and becoming a dad. He processes these pivotal moments out loud in the song, wrestling with the idea of leaving it all behind, before dusting himself off finding comfort in the mantra-like chant, “Grit your teeth and make us proud. Fake it when you don’t know how”.
He shares about the new song, “I wrote Everlasting from a very defeated place. I was trying to be a good father, a good husband, a good artist, etc…I was failing at all of it. I was hardly sleeping, drinking too much and not communicating. Failing in all of these aspects invited a lot of intrusive thoughts. Thoughts that I think many people in my same position have had but I don’t hear spoken about very often. They’re ugly and uncomfortable but they’re real nonetheless. I needed to be honest with myself and writing this song gave me the outlet to do that. It’s a heartbreaking song that in turn, has given me a lot of healing. I hope if there’s anyone out there listening in a similar place that it can meet them there and provide some solace.”

Maeson today also announces his 42-date tour which will reunite him with his full band to play 27 dates in North America from late September through early November, and 15 dates in Europe and the UK in January and February 2026. Full tour dates below.
