MUSEUMS' LATEST SINGLES
"In Waves" & "Ur Best" are OUT NOW!!!
Montreal's Museums is the psychedelic, shoegaze, indie-rock project of Ali Kouri, Nic Barkun, Anthony Kameka, and Lou Raskin. Their music is characterized by impulsive, evocative vocals coupled with dense, layered guitars, distortion, and driving drums. Despite being a young band, Museums has performed in venues across Québec, Ontario, Germany & the Netherlands, in notable spaces such as Festival sur le Canal, Rirkrit Tiravanija’s untitled 1996 installation at Fondation PHI and Nuit Blanche for Montréal Boréal. They were also awarded a fully-funded sound recording residency at ArtHaus in Toronto, which took place in January 2025. In 2024, Museums released their debut EP, Sink Your Teeth in My Brain.
“Ur Best” continues to carve out a unique space for this Montréal band. Exploring the boundaries of pop and experimentation, with nods to indie rock & shoegaze, Museums continue to conjure evocative swells of sound, steeped in melodies and observations on the human condition, while standing in a place uniquely of their own. “Ur Best” is an intimate and infectious meditation on obsession.
