NYC rock n' roll band Native Sun announce debut album ‘Concrete Language’ (pre-order here), set for release September 19th via TODO, and share raucous new track ‘No’ (video here), out today (July 10th).

Accompanied by news of a mammoth UK and European headline tour this autumn, preceded by a run of US dates alongside Bass Drum Of Death, Native Sun’s masterful blend of garage rock and art rock has already attracted widespread acclaim for lead singles ‘I Need Nothing’ and ‘Squash’. On ‘No’, the band channels unrest through sharp contrast–quiet restraint cracked open by explosive bursts, blurring the lines between control and collapse.

Fronted by Colombian-born Danny Gomez (vox/guitar) alongside Justin Barry (bass/vox), Jack Hiltabidle (guitar), and Argentine-born Nicolas Espinosa (drums), Native Sun is celebrated for their visceral, untamed live shows and Gomez’s socially-charged lyrics that confront reality head-on - channeling disillusionment into action and lovingly documenting the lives of society’s misfits and marginalized.

With a DIY ethos and a devoted following, Native Sun are ready to build on early plaudits throughout the UK and US press landscape (Brooklyn Vegan, DIY, Dork, The Line Of Best Fit, So Young, FLOOD Magazine, NYLON, Paste, Rolling Stone), whilst on the live front, the four-piece have already played alongside the likes of A Place To Bury Strangers, Bodega, Geese, Indigo de Souza and Nation of Language.

Speaking ahead of their debut LP reveal, the band stated: “‘No’ captures the tension of trying to hold on to yourself while the world is pulling you in different directions. It’s the feeling of swinging between overload and emptiness, between faith and disillusionment. You’re searching for a foothold while the ground keeps shifting beneath you.”

Produced and mixed by Jonathan Schenke (Parquet Courts, Snail Mail, Bodega, The Drums, Pottery) and mastered by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, IDLES, Future Islands, Vampire Weekend), Native Sun’s ‘No’ is out now via TODO and available on all digital platforms.

Native Sun is Danny Gomez (singer/guitarist), Jack Hiltabidle (guitarist), Justin Barry (bassist), Nico Espinosa (drummer)
