‘...huh’ album release tour in Aug/Sept
really big really clever’s final advance preview of their imminent new album ‘...huh’ comes today in the form of ‘no respect for knights’, which is “a poignant exploration of a fractured bond between two people unraveling through time,” says vocalist and guitarist Jared Tomkins. “What begins as a deep connection slowly corrodes under the weight of unspoken grievances, lost trust, and mounting resentment.”
‘no respect for knights’ is the third single from Brighton’s really big really clever’s forthcoming album ‘…huh’, which is set for release 22nd August via Sugar-Free Records. Recorded in Whitstable with longtime collaborator Ian Sadler, the track is a raw, sub-3-minute grunge-punk snapshot exploring a fractured relationship.
The track follows on from previously-released ‘the middle’, which “explores the emotional strain and evolving expectations that can often come from personal connections.”
Gritty and riffy lead single ‘back door’ was featured on BBC Radio 6Music as Huw Stephens’ “Huw Are You” segment with Jared also chatting to Huw on air. ‘back door’ is an electrifying track channeling the chaos and confusion of a night gone wrong.
