Rest Up Release Debut album "Real Sensations"
With Real Sensations, Rest Up delivers an emotional record, between discovery, improvisation, and acceptance. Gone are the overly specific references: the band refines its own voice, in an art-punk vein where experimentation takes precedence over urgency. Accutane, a cathartic track, illustrates this turning point: it is no longer about escaping emotions, but about embracing them.
More poised, more assured, the trio explores new textures, designed for live performance. The tracks gain in nuance, moving between rage and softness, as shown by Harmattan, Damage, or Hold Me Tight. Each member tames their effects, their doubts, their contradictions. The result: eleven untamed and sensitive tracks.
Already looking ahead, Rest Up continues composing and testing their material in concert. Their only certainty? To keep reinventing everything. Fuzz pop tomorrow? Maybe.
