SINGLE REVIEW: SLICERRR - Turbo Spinello

Straight out of Helsinki, Finland, a fresh force in garage-punk has arrived. SLICERRR, a ferocious four-piece, crash onto the scene with their New Music video debuting a slice of their recently released self titled EP recorded earlier this year - an unapologetic statement of intent.

Their sound is raw and relentless: bass-driven rhythms grind beneath jagged guitars, whilst vocals drips with raw fiery conviction. SLICERRR’s style balances brute force with a sparking chaotic energy that feels both dangerous and alive, echoing the spirit of underground punk while pushing it into new, unpredictable territory.

Turbo Spinello clocks in at 4 minutes and 12 seconds of bass-driven catchiness, hushed yet magnetic vocals, and exhilarating guitar tones. Centered around an iconic bassline that slowly builds and stirs into a storm, the track leaves a lasting impression—unforgettable, addictive, and perfectly in sync with its own restless themes.

The music video, shot seamlessly in a one-take format, trails a runner weaving through their everyday neighborhood before ducking into a local pub—where things spiral into chaos. From stealing pints and shots to grabbing a slice of pizza drenched in Turbo Spinello Hot Sauce (a clever nod to the whole point of the song), the protagonist barrels through the bar, washing it all down with more drinks and even interrupting a game of pool.

With every gulp, the tension escalates, the visuals distorting into a dizzying blur that mirrors the sensation of being either completely drunk or utterly out of breath. The result is equal parts hilarious and unhinged—a wild ride that amplifies the song’s frenetic energy.

Fair warning: the swinging, disorienting camera work might test your stomach. But if you can handle the ride, it’s one badass video worth watching.

Over all, The band’s aesthetic is equally bold—loud, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore. Turbo Spinello was my introduction to this band, and wasn’t just an introduction it was like being slammed with a sledgehammer. They are addictive and unpredictable. And definitely one to watch.

Kempsey

Hi, I'm Kempsey, I'm 24 years old. I studied photography in college however, I then studied a further 2 years in college for Music and went to Uni for Music performance and my final year was adjusted after COVID to complete a Creative Industries Degree. Doot doot 🎉 Graduate 🎉 Met some important people during my studying so I got a little industry insight.

I'm now a coffee barista by day ☕ and on the odd night I'm visiting some local gigs and venues.

I'm always listening to music everywhere I go, I'm sure we can all agree it's a life line. ☺️ I'm heavily Into metalcore, grunge, pop-punk, some indie, my taste also varies.

Slowly saving up the cash for some better gear to get out there and shoot.

Got my Ticket for Download this year (2023) which is super exciting ! ✨
