SINGLE REVIEW: TUBE AMP'D - Troubles On My Mind

Californian grunge-punk outfit TUBE AMP'D come out swinging with their latest release, “Troubles On My Mind.” From the very first second, the intro riff lands with a distorted crunch, setting the tone with a raw, gritty edge that instantly grabs attention. It’s got that classic rough-around-the-edges feel that doesn’t just work here — it defines the song’s whole character.

The verses move with real urgency, the rapid-fire vocals locking in tightly with the riff to create an energy that feels both chaotic and controlled. It’s fast, it’s sharp, and it’s undeniably catchy, showing a knack for welding punk speed to grunge weight without losing focus. Then the chorus shifts gears, opening up into something more powerful and heartfelt, adding an emotional lift before dropping right back into that irresistible riff.

What makes “Troubles On My Mind” so effective is how it balances grit with heart. The distorted tones and edgy delivery bring the rawness, but the sheer emotion in the vocal keeps it from being one-dimensional. TUBE AMP'D manage to bottle a storm of intensity in just a few minutes, and the result is a track that feels both anthemic and cathartic.
