“Slaney Bay are already making big waves in the capital…the potential is obvious” Dork

“Fuzzed-out synth-rock” Billboard

“Wistful dream pop with sparkling guitar riffs” Under The Radar

South West London indie specialists Slaney Bay release ‘The Long Way Home’ EP, out today (May 30th).

Spawning lead singles including ‘Countdown’ and its titletrack, the rising quartet have recently been named on the Glastonbury 2025 Emerging Talent Longlist, following on from widespread acclaim throughout the press community (Billboard, The Independent, Dork, The Line Of Best Fit,  Rough Trade, Under The Radar) and multiple spins across the BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders) and BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq) airwaves.

With appearances already ticked off at the likes of Left Of The Dial and Supersonic in recent months, alongside a UK tour support for She’s In Parties, Slaney Bay’s live prowess is certainly growing at an impressive pace, with an EP launch show taking place at The Lexington, London this June.

Speaking ahead of their EP release, bandleader Whitley stated: “‘The Long Way Home’ details a night from start to finish. From the extroverted highs of palpable romantic tension with your crush at a party, to the loneliness of the solitary journey home. To us, ‘the long way home’ represents us experiencing the whole range of human emotion. We go through vulnerability, exhilaration and existential dread all in one night. But we arrive home with a better understanding of ourselves. While a shortcut may have been easier, the long way home taught us valuable lessons.”

Slaney Bay’s ‘The Long Way Home’ (EP) is out now and available on all digital platforms.
