TRIERS release their stirring, indie/alt rock single 'Home' on 29th November
Shropshire’s Triers return with new single “Home” — a towering indie anthem that lays bare the frustration, resilience, and raw humanity of life inside the music industry.
Recently crowned BBC Introducing Artist of the Week (with plays three times a day on Shropshire, Stoke, Hereford & Worcester), Triers have already seen their music echo around Wolves’ Molineux Stadium and catch the attention of tastemakers at BBC Radio 6 Music.
“A mountain of sound rising from the Midlands.” – BBC Introducing
With “Home”, the band sharpen that momentum into something fearless — a candid statement about rejection, self-worth, and the refusal to give up. “Home isn’t about a place,” says frontman Nick Taylor, “It’s about chasing your dream, getting told you’re not good enough, and finding your sense of belonging in spite of that. The lyric ‘put me back on the shelf’ came from how it feels to be part of an industry that celebrates you one minute and forgets you the next. But we’re still here, and this song is our way of saying that’s where we belong — in the noise.”
Produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Twang, Robert Plant) at Magic Garden Studios, “Home” captures the band’s trademark “mountain of sound” — thick layers of guitars, driving rhythms, and vocals that ache with intent. With lines like “Lie to me in routine”, “put me back on the shelf” and “File under shh,” Triers turn their frustration into catharsis — a defiant roar from the underdogs of British indie.
Based between Shropshire and the West Midlands, Triers are a rising indie/alternative force known for their emotionally charged live shows and widescreen sound. Having toured across the UK and progressed to Round 2 of the Artist Breakout Programme, they’ve built a reputation as one of the most compelling grassroots acts in the country. From hometown shows at Albert’s Shed (Shrewsbury/Telford) to stages nationwide, Triers are the sound of unfiltered honesty wrapped in anthemic grit — a band living up to their name.
