WATER FROM YOUR EYES new album 'It's A Beautiful Place' out new, on tour this autumn

WATER FROM YOUR EYES

CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED NEW ALBUM

IT’S A BEAUTIFUL PLACE

OUT NOW

ON TOUR IN THE UK, EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA THIS AUTUMN

“sprawling, amorphous, hermetic, overwhelming, heartbreaking, funny as hell” – Pitchfork (8.3 - Best New Music)

“the most optimistic Water From Your Eyes project yet, a representation of the band’s omnivorous spirit” – The Guardian

“It’s brilliant, and sure to send them further into the indie rock cosmos that they’ve been orbiting for the last few years” – NME (****)

“quite possibly 2025’s greatest album yet (...) the album it always felt like this band could make” – Loud & Quiet

“A dizzying, technicolour collage” – The Quietus

“It’s A Beautiful Place is both exactly what you might’ve imagined from a new Water From Your Eyes album and also not anything you could’ve predicted. It’s the exhilaration of watching a band get better and better, delivering on heightened expectations by every metric” – Stereogum ‘Album of the Week’

“Their most joyously out-there achievement yet — a mind-blowing concept album about time, space travel, and the nature of reality” – Rolling Stone

“the Brooklyn indie scene’s talk of the town..The near-uncategorizable duo have become one of those bands that everyone who knows says you should know” – NYLON

Last Friday, Water From Your Eyes released their glittering and gonzo magnum opus, It’s A Beautiful Place. The album has since met with an outpouring of praise and good will, including rave reviews at Pitchfork (8.3 Best New Music), Stereogum (Album of the Week), MOJO (****), NME (****), and more. The Brooklyn-based duo – Nate Amos and Rachel Brown – were also interviewed in The Guardian, Rolling Stone, FADER, Nylon, NME, Blackbird Spyplane, and Flaunt. Today at 5pm BST, they’ll participate in a Reddit AMA via Indieheads.

The band – now a four-piece on stage with Al Nardo (guitar) and Bailey Wollowitz (drums) – will support It's A Beautiful Place with extensive North American and European headline tours. The latter kicks off on November 13 at Village Underground in London and ends December 7 at Lisbon’s Musicbox. Purchase tickets HERE.

Water From Your Eyes finished It’s A Beautiful Place last summer, just as they have every other WFYE release: in Amos’s bedroom, under the watchful eye of a tattered Robin Williams poster from the Mork & Mindy era. “Basically,” jokes Amos, “Robin is like a silent member of Water From Your Eyes.” The first single, ‘Life Sign’, however, was shaped around the dynamics of a full-blooded live group: “When you’re playing with a band you tend to write with one in mind - this was the first time I wrote anything for WFYE imagining us playing anywhere bigger than a basement”, he observes.

Throughout It’s A Beautiful Place is a clear sense of a band who have honed their curveballs into home runs. Looming and melancholy, wide-eyed and petrified, it's Blade Runner with a touch of WALL-E, it's Kubrick and Asimov with a hint of Jay and Silent Bob. These are songs that look outward, conscious of our smallness and questioning our place in the universe while admiring the surrounding beauty.
