Insanidade transforms cult horror into rock in the music video “Black Thunder”

The band Insanidade has just released the official music video for "Black Thunder," one of the standout tracks from their fourth studio album, Enough to Be a Loser (2024). Directed by Ygor Silva of Macabro Studio, the video is a true journey that blends the bloody and dark aesthetic of classic B-horror films from the 60s and 70s with the pure adrenaline of rock 'n' roll.

The track is part of Enough to Be a Loser, described by the band itself as the heaviest and most ambitious work of their career so far. The album features nine intense tracks – eight original compositions and an explosive cover of “Looks That Kill,” a classic by Mötley Crüe. Influences range from giants like Motörhead, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, and The Hellacopters, recapturing the raw and energetic spirit of 70s and 80s Hard n’ Heavy, but with a current and ferocious edge.

Formed by Lucas Tamandaré (vocals), Luis Maldonalle (guitar), Gustavo Vasquez (bass), and Rodrigo Miranda (drums), Insanidade reaffirms its sonic identity with powerful riffs, striking beats, and lyrics that carry the rebellious spirit of rock 'n' roll. With "Black Thunder," the band not only pays homage to the rebellious aesthetic of the past but also reaffirms its place in the Brazilian underground scene as one of the most intense and authentic names today.

Enough to Be a Loser is now available on all digital platforms, and the music video for “Black Thunder” can be viewed on the band's official YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0NzfuefbeA
